Reverse Osmosis is a method of purifying water which removes, debris, fungal spores, bacteria, viruses and even particles which make water hard such as Calcium and Magnesium. This means that your starting water will be cleaner and disease free. Also, your base nutrients will work better and there will be much less chance of nutrient lockouts. In fact, most top nutrient manufacturers recommend, if not insist, that to get the best out of their products you need to use RO (reverse osmosis) to start with. If your water has an E.C. of over 7 (bad water), or even over 5, then you will notice a big difference by using up to 90% R.O. water and some calcium-magnesium supplement.
