Everything Needed to Set Up Digital Fans and Controllers
We offer a comprehensive range of cables that will enable you to set up your digital extraction system exactly how you want it, no matter what the layout.
How GAS Cables Work
Note that all fans and fan controllers come with female connectors. That's why most controller cables terminate with male ends.
Active and Non-Active Cables - What's the Difference?
Quite simply, non-active cables only move data, whereas active cables also move power. Controllers like the EC1 don't have mains plugs and are instead powered via the fan, so they require active cables.
Non-active cables can only be used with fan controllers that are powered from the mains, whereas active cables can be used in almost any situation, even if the fan controller already has its own power.
5m Non-Active Male to Male (Pack 2)
Can be used to connect digital fans (Vector ECs or Hyper Fans) directly to fan speed controllers. If you need to connect two fans to the same controller socket, use two of these cables and an Active Splitter (below).
Non-Active Y-Splitter (Pack 3)
Used with Male to Male cables to control two fans from the same fan speed controller socket. Comes with one male connector and two female connectors. Use the male connector to link up with the controller, and use the two female connectors to link up to the Male to Male cables.
2m Balancer Extension (Pack 4)
Connects the Digital EC Fan Controller to its Balancer unit.
2m Non-Active Female to Female Extension (Pack 7)
Used to lengthen cabling by sitting inbetween two ‘Non-Active Male to Male’ cables.
5m Active Male to Male (Pack 8)
Used to connect digital fans (Vector ECs or Hyper Fans) directly to fan speed controllers. If you need to connect two fans to the same controller socket, use two of these cables and an Active Splitter (below).
Active Y-Splitter (Pack 9)
Used with Male to Male cables to control two fans from the same fan speed controller socket. Comes with one male connector and two female connectors. Use the male connector to link up with the controller, and use the two female connectors to link up to the Male to Male cables.
Gavita EL1 / EL2F Cable (Pack 10)
The Gavita EL1F and EL2F are lighting controllers that also power digital fans. This cable connects to the port on the EL1F or EL2F and terminates with a male connector, which is used to connect to your fan.
Want to use two fans? Then you'll also need a Female to Female Extension, a Y-Splitter and two sets of 5m Male to Male cables.
Active Female to Female Extension (Pack 11)
Used to lengthen cabling by sitting inbetween two ‘Active Male to Male’ cables.
GAS Controller to Phresh Hyperfan V2 (Pack 16)
Allows you to connect your GAS Controller to the Hyperfan V2
