Why Choose a CarboAir Carbon Filter?
CarboAir carbon filters destroy odours reliably and effectively, which is why they are regarded by many growers as the best in the industry.
CarboAir carbon filters utilise 55.5% open mesh cylinders to maximise airflow, squeezing as much performance from your extraction system as possible. This helps to keep your environment in the sweet spot, delivering faster plant growth. Greater levels of airflow bring in greater levels of fresh CO2, for intensified photosynthesis rates and bigger yields.
CarboAir filters are manufactured by engineers with decades of experience, and they utilise the highest grade, batch-tested carbon available. In fact, the carbon qualifies as 'food grade' — technically, you could open up a CarboAir filter and eat the contents! We wouldn't recommend it, but it just goes to show that CarboAir refuse to skrimp in any area. Every single component of these filters is top spec.
The granules of carbon are larger than those of other brands. This maximises air flow while maintaining enough contact time to obliterate unwanted smells.
The flanges are made from high tensile steel, making them light but giving them real strength. These flanges butt right up to the extractor flanges, forming an air-tight seal when using fast clamps.
CarboAir carbon filters are available in 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 200mm, 315mm and 355mm diameters.
They also come in a range of bed depths, with 50mm, 65mm, 75mm and 100mm depths available.
If you want to maximise airflow, choose a lower bed depth. If you're a professional working at larger scales and you want extreme protection against smells, choose a higher bed depth and, preferably, pair it up with a fan that generates greater levels of static pressure. 75mm and 100mm carbon filters are designed for commercial horticulture — the vast majority of indoor growers will find that a 60mm, or even a 50mm, bed depth is much better suited to their situation.
CarboAir carbon filters are equipped with hanging brackets, so that you can hang them up without covering the fabric pre-filter (outer sleeve), which impedes the airflow. Speaking of pre-filters — it's always handy to keep a spare around. They'll need cleaning periodically to maximise efficiency. If you keep a spare around, you can clean them without any down time for your extraction system.
