One of the first things to note is that the AC fan sockets have been dropped from this version and it’s now designed to work solely with EC extraction. That's because most serious growers have already upgraded to digital fans at this point. EC extraction is much more efficient than AC extraction, delivering greater levels of static pressure while consuming less energy. The output levels can also be regulated extremely precisely without generating unwanted buzzing or humming.
The Enviro 4 comes with a pair of 3-pin sockets - one for your intake and one for your extractor fan, making it compatible with the Revolution Vector and the V2 Hyper Fan. Just make sure that you've got the right cables for the job and you’re good to go.
Perhaps the biggest improvement here is the fact that the Enviro 4 is now powered via two separate power cables instead of one, allowing it to handle up to 26 amps worth of grow gear, equivalent to around 6000 watts of power! Just be sure to read the supplied manual first because it provides some info on spreading the load evenly. In short, never exceed 3000 watts of power on either the left pair or the right pair of sockets and you’ll be absolutely fine.
